You do run into this some times, since OTC items are not regulated and required to have unique markings on each pill and dosage like prescription meds are required to have. ## what is this pill GPI A5 ? what it for pain?

My daughter has been taking hydrocodone 5/325 every 4 hrs since Thurs afternoon. 24 hrs ago, her dr moved it to every 6 hrs, and she took her last one at 615pm last night (it's now 1250a). I need to know about this medicine. I have been taking Oxycodone-APAP 7.5/325 mg (Mallin). Last month the pharmacy changed my brand to Endocet 7.5/325. Does not work as well. Still have pain with the same doseage. I only take 2 a day. Now this month I recieved from the same parmacy 7.5/325 Oxycodon-Acetaminopen (Alvoge). Im guessing the strength of this pill is less than any over the counter Tylenol.. 325 vs 500 ## Actually, both of the doses you listed are over the counter strengths. My friend died from a Tylenol overdose. She took 16g of 500mg extra strength. She lived the first time she tried, but a couple months later, she took Tylenol again and her liver shut down and died soon after. What are the chances of dying of the same pill with the same dosage? First time she took 16g, second time she took 10g and her liver shut down. I read that 16g isn't lethal to some people? She was a little heavyset but in her weight/height range for her age. Because all I can fine so far is the generic of 750/500 and would like to use less than 500. ## The ES stands for extra strength, so any version of this medication with the ES designation is going to have more Acetaminophen in it, since that's the intent.
