Abuse Of Subtex

I haven't been using subtext in the manner in which it was prescribed, and I've notice a change in my vision. If I stop and start taking subutex under my tongue will my vision become normal again or is change is vision a life long thing. ## Hello, Hkay! How are you? There is really no way to say, it has been known to be a side effect of Subutex, as listed by the FDA and it did go away for more people after discontinuing the medication. However, if that's what has caused it, then even taking it a different way will not stop it from occurring. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you had this checked out by a doctor, yet?

Dear VerWon, I now know the difference between suboxone and subtext. But, why would one Dr. Choose one over the other? Is the suboxone used for addiction and subtext used for just pain? ## Hello, Cats68! How are you? As I said in my prior post, Suboxone includes Naloxone to prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is being treated with it for addiction and that is exactly why it is usually preferred over Subutex. Subutex is usually the choice when someone has a bad reaction to the Naloxone or is pregnant. However, both can treat pain. Does this clear it up for you? :-) ## Dear Dr. Thank u for the information. All cleared up. ## As for mself....I had major allergic reactions to generic suboxone pills as well as name brand and subutex. The only form of combination of meds was S...

I have a history of drug abuse and have been on suboxone. I have M.S. and have terrible pain. I have been clean for 2 years suboxone just doesn't help much with my pain. Does anyone know of a dr. That will prescribe subutex. I live in ashland Ky. The drs here will only give subutex to pregnant women ## Hello Dawn! How are you? Suboxone contains the active ingredients Buprenorphine, and Naloxone, while Subutex contains only Buprenorphine, thus there is no difference between their analgesic ingredients, so if one doesn't alleviate your pain, it is doubtful that the other one will, either, and if you have a history of drug abuse, doctors will be very, very reluctant to prescribe Subutex for you, and it's pretty universal throughout the U.S. to only give Subtext to pregnant wome...

Please help me find a subutex Dr. That accepts tenncare medicare for office payment. ## im lookinmg for a subutex dr in nashville who doesnt have to have insurance ## In Nashville, look up Dr. Arnett. He has many Suboxone/subtex clinics in the area. Call one of the hospitals, like Vandy or St. Thomas; they can usually point you in the right direction. Also, there's a buprenorphine patch available. (Same drug that's in Subutex). If you had problems with Suboxone, it could be the narcan mixed in with it to keep it from being abused. ## Dr. Cruz and Turning Point Recovery prescribes Subutex. My gf is on it. both places in Memphis and very close to Memphis. ## I found out I'm pregnant recently and I now have insurance. I'm looking for a sub clinic that will accept my insuran...

Can someone please tell me what the difference between suboxone and subutex is? And , why one doctor would prescribe one over the other? ## Hello, Cats68! How are you? Subutex contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, but Suboxone couples it with Naloxone to prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is being treated with it. Thus, that also explains why some doctors prefer one over the other. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Dear Verwon, I now understand the difference b tween them. But why would one doctor use one over the other? Can people still feel the effects of opiates on subtext, b cause it doesn...
