Yes There Are Generic Suboxone (Page 2)
(Newest replies first)

Updated

there is a generic Suboxone out now. they begin shipping them to pharmacies the last week of February. also, if you have any type of insurance you will automatically get the generic suboxin. The doctor has no say in whether you get the name brand or generic really. even if he writes a prescription for suboxone, the pharmacist will automatically give you the generics if you have insurance. if you don't have any insurance, you can ask the pharmacist to give you generics because they are cheaper. Plus, R and B has stopped making the name brand suboxin pills. they are only making be films now. So whenever your pharmacy runs out of the original suboxin, there will not be any more.

Hey guys I have a concern. I just filled my suboxone script....I take two films a day. Thee first film I took only Half the strip had TWO N8s on it? Then I just took my next dose and u can see where the N8s are faded off not kits worse cuz it literally just looks like an orange colored strip....what could it be and do I need to check in on it? {edited for privacy}

None of the Dr.s are covered by the state insurance you pay out of pocket about 3to5 hundred a month but insurance does cover the prescription only the generic and up to two pills a day.

It will only cover the prescription and also only up to 2 pills a day. None of the insurance will pay for the visit. That is out of pocket and they are between 300 to 500 a month.

Subutex is the best I think but if you're trying to stop the I.V use it makes it really hard to get subutex so I went with suboxone. I take the moon's 155 strips as well.. do not get the zubsolv, they suck n are not as strong. Anyway hope that helps n p.s please fight that effin urge if ya have it n chin up. Much luv.

I am prescribed the generic subutex. They are a oval/peach with a half moon on 1 side and 153 on the other. Only difference I have noticed is they have a very chalky taste.

Depends on what state you live in. Medicaid covers methadone treatment and suboxone treatment . And they always cover the perscription. The hard part is finding a doctor that can perscribe it and will accept insurance. In my case, only one doctor in my state will accept medicaid for treatment and the place is run like a clinic. Pain in the a s s but it is free because the visits and perscriptions are covered: thos doctor is an hour and a half away as well.
So the hardest part os going to be finding a doctor that will take insuarance. Many want cash for the visit. If you cannot find a doctor, the next best thing is to find a treatment facility or clinic that uses suboxone and they will take the insurance.

Dear Pam, I know this is an old post, but, I came across it. I'm on the films 2. They don't make generics yet 4 them. I heard about the generic pill form. I agree with u about how the films dissolve faster. That's a plus!
