Yellow Capsule Ig322

i was told that these would help opoid withdrawals? i was prescribed percocet 10mg for the last 2 years and decided i wanted to quit taking them, ive seen prescription pain killers ruin alot of lives and i dont want something like that to happen to me. anyway i havent been feeling good since i quit taking the medicine and a friend gave me these and said they would help make me feel better, i just wanted to get other opinions before a took them. thanks

These contain 300mgs of Gabapentin, which is an anticonvulsant that's also used to treat some mood disorders and certain types of nerve pain… and to have any affect, they need to be taken for 4 to 6 weeks, so they really aren't going to do anything to help with withdrawals.

Have you consulted your doctor? It would most likely be easier to taper off of the medication, rather than just stopping it cold turkey.

I have been taking 30mg oxycodone and also 10mg Percocet. I stopped taking them after I've been on them for 4 years and I was sick. I hurt worse I was sick like flu sick for 4 to 5 weeks. It was the worst thing I've been through. The 300mg and the 400mg of the gabapentin did help me with the pain and being sick. It didn't stop the having to use the tolit every time I ate but it did help me get through it. Just hope it will help you too. It's very hard to stop taking pain medicine once you have been hurt and have to take it. Some days I can't move or get out the bed because of the pain but it's better than depending on medicine every day. I pray for the best for you and hope this helped. God bless you.

Actually as an ex opiate addict & a person who gets neurontins/gabapentin prescribed myself, I can tell you that they definitely help with opiate withdrawals. For opiate withdrawals they take effect immediately which is why detox units use them but for other uses & disorders it can take weeks to get the full effect

I was prescribed percocet 10mg. For 6 yrs. My Dr. told me that it was not addictive, of course that is not true. I was going thru withdraw bad. I mean screaming and crying. I thought I thought I was dying. My father gave me one gabipenten and yes it helped. I took them until I got thru the withdraws. I did not withdraw from them. They actually in my eyes Saved My Life.

I was on Percocet for years and I too decided I needed to get off the pain pills but I had been on them for years. I can tell u the only thing to make u feel better from Percocet or a narcotic is a narcotic taper down or methadone which is very addicting in itself or suboxone. I personally for only two years would taper off slowly with time and u will feel so much better. I am on gabapentin which is what u have hoping it will help but it won't. It's for nerve pain and also mood disorders anxiety and things of that nature. Its basically prescribed by a psychiatrist and not for withdrawal. U could always help urself feel a little better and try to get a sedative to calm ur nerves and help U sleep but to avoid addiction it has to be very short term like Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin or Diazepam. I hope I could help u a little. Good luck to u and I pray u get thru it. It's not easy but u can do it and it can be done.

I wanted to let you know about Gabapentin first off some people have withdrawal from Gabapentin I'm not sure the reason for this ! I have been fighting drug addiction 4 over 20 years I've tried the methadone clinic Suboxone Subutex street drugs all to get off of opiates.And I still am struggling. I know many of people who are able 2 get off opiates usually if they are smart enough to get off them while only on Percocets are Vicodins because after so long you need a higher dose just to feel better.The pain the reason you're taking the drug no longer bothers you What bothers you is the withdrawal from the pain pills Vicodin Percocet that your doctor gave you.. tell the doctor you would like to get off the Percocet but you need something to help you sleep for throwing up and also for leg cramps and diarrhea.. Honestly that is your best bet. If your doctor is unwilling to give you meds for the withdrawal try and find some Xanax not to take more than one week as many as needed to sleep there is many over-the-counter medication to help you with the diarrhea then ask your doctor 4 some phenogrin for throwing up.. My prayers are with you! Another thing is that you can go down slowly off the Percocets that might be easier ...Good Luck !!!! Hope this helped a littlle .
