Xanax Prescribing Doctors

I suffer from tmau, rare metabolic disorder that causes my body, sweat, breath and urine to smell like feces, garbage, fish, rotten cheese but mainly I smell of s*** 24 hrs a day. I'm obsessively clean, shower.2 or 3 times daily. The remarks made In public, work,.anywhere I go have caused anxiety at a level beyond explanation. If I just go to Walmart, convenience store or the bank my anxiety causes me 2 sweat, hands shake, voice starts to shake n I often leave. Going to work is terrifying. Listening to. I need xanax or Im gonna lose my job. This tmau is type 2 and was acquired after a bad infection.

Hello,

I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through. What treatments have you tried for the Trimethylaminuria (TMAU)? Drugs will only cover up the pain you feel from your issue. I suggest looking into how to treat the actual condition instead of purchasing pills to deal with the emotions that are taking control over your life. Your body's ability to heal is greater than anyone has permitted you to believe! I also recommend eating/juicing lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, that will really help your body cure itself from the inside out by getting rid of excess toxins. I don't know if you've ever looked into the Raw Vegan lifestyle, but I believe it could very possibly be of help to you.

I want to thank Jenna for her reply as well as suggestions. I agree that taking a medication such as zanax will only mask the psychological pain and suffering but on the other hand, until I get this under control, managed, or atleast to where I feel my job isn't in jeopardy. I am completely obsessed with listening to the nasty, rude comments made about me by people who I once considered not only co-workers but friends. This ruins all focus and drive.I have had 2 sessions with my new therapist since my 1st post but even sitting in her waiting room raises my blood pressure waiting to hear the whispers. The therapist told me it was psychological although I brought my lab reports. To make it worse as i was standing outside her room waiting 2 set up my next appt she closed her door and I could hear her make the sound "peeu" then heard her spraying aerosol sir freshener.I live within 15 miles of Baltimore City, County, Howard County,Carroll County. But for an understanding, liberal doc I will drive anywhere within reason. I have Carefirst Blue Choice insurance but don't mind paying cash to see a good doctor. For me to buy zanxax, ativan, clonopin off of coworkers as well as the street is something I have never dine in my life until I started realizing something was wrong with my body. I have been researching the suggestion to eat mainly fruits and that may work but I would like to find a nutritionist first. I do appreciate the fact that nobody attacked me or accused me of being a pill popping drug doctor shopping addict although I'm beyond taking those comments to heart. I am not looking for a lifelong addiction folks. Just a temporary way to help me deal with getting through those days at work, grocery store, therapist meetings etc.. I don't think there is much more to ask or say. If there isn't anyone willing to help I understand and pray u don't wake up one day and have to live with tmau forever. Thank you very much. I'm 47 years old, don't smoke, drink, do any other drugs, and have s b.s. degree in finance.

Just reading post I have a daughter with TMAU haven't been tested yet but all the signs are there..I have seen her leave off jobs and school because of it...we are going to see a doctor for testing but I see and no all signs people making fun frowns just right mean...I see her cry all the time just stay to her self because of it it hurts me to see her hurt and I think if it wasn't because of the grace of God and her daughter she will loose it..I need to no if there are some support group in North Carolina if she no of others suffering with she might cope better..I myself didn't understand but just researching she is not crazy..please help
