Xanax Blue Pill V 2089 Expiration (Top voted first)

I would like to known what's the time period from we pick up the Xanax at the pharmacy till the pills expires , 2 mouths , 3 , 6 Mouths ????

Thank for the response, Eddy! He is correct, they don't get dangerous, once expired, they just start to degrade and lost efficacy.

If they are in a pharmacy bottle, then the expiration date is one year from when they were dispensed to you, because once they are removed from the originally factory sealed bottle and put in an alternative container, they are exposed to the elements that can cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture.

If they are in the originally factory sealed bottle, they're usually good for 3 or 4 years.

The FDA classifies this medication as being a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

I have spare bottles from 2011 and 2012. While they might lose a little potency I'm sue they will be fine. On the other hand if this was a liquid based medicine I would pay more attention to the dates
