Xanax Being Discontinued

I am a 43 yr old GMA with social anxiety disorder & panic disorder. I have been on xanax since I was 25. I've heard twice in 6 months that xanax is going to be discontinued. Is this true?

No, there haven't been any authentic reports of it being discontinued. It's been made harder to get, since it is so frequently abused, but that's the only change that I've found any information on.

This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

I'm due for my next 50 tablets of 2mg Xanax in 20 days. Will it be off the market? This is concerning. Do I need to convert or use Valium to help with reducing my dose? Please answer asap.
