What happens if you mix Xanax with grapefruit?

Ok I'm on 2mgs 4 times a day and I don't feel them like I use to, basically because my body is so used to them.. I get hyper on them but not lately I heard grapefruit juice intensifies it. Is that true?

In response to 14:The yellow xanax are a generic half milligram type .I'm not sure which manufacturer but they're about as good as any other.5mg alprazolam.

It tends to make it a LITTLE bit stronger,in my experience anyway.Hot liquids break pills down faster so try a tall,hot glass of WHITE grapefruit juice.Also,do it on an empty stomach.Food soaks up pills and greatly diminishes effects so don't eat anything for a couple hours before or after dosing.

No I think you have it a little backwards. Xanax are for major panic attacks , seizures.
Diazapam , clanazapam are longer lasting . In fact Diazapam can be used for muscles that smasams. And have life from clan and Diaz are actually mins apart.

There is an oval yellow Xanax with 901 on it and it's a .5 mg. Xanax. It's just a cheaper version

A whole milligram is actually kind of a lot. I have some serious f***in' emotional problems and only get a 0.5. Of course, because I've used it before, I can take one milligram and not pass out, but if you're truly new to this drug, you should maybe cut those pills in half, or even into quarters. Xanax is pretty powerful stuff.

wow ur very lucky. i take 2mg to sleep worked good for two weeks now 2 mg do not work!

I've used Xanax for quite some time,only 0.125 mg. at a time,and I will admit that even with my tolerance to it, 1mg.would knock me out,too. try splitting the pill in half. it will still be strong but maybe more tolerable for you. hope this helps.

I have used benzos and barbituates since my late teens and early 20's (does anyone remember tuinals?) got clean for 15 years, and now I have numerous health issues including an awful panic disorder. I'm also in a great deal of pain. After 5 years of struggling to walk again, I take the zanex and go to the methadone clinic to control the pain. I can't function without either one. I feel trapped. Any feedback?

I am taking 1- 0.25mg tablet of Xanax, once a day! Is it safe to eat Grapefruit?

Both medications are benzodiazepines Klonopin has a longer half life and is therefore useful Intreating generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks. Klonopin is also an anti convulsant which makes it essential in preventing seizures. Xanax is a much stronger benzodiazepine and HAS NO USE WHATSOEVER IN TERMS OF DEPRESSION ALLEVIATION. I cannot stress this enough. Xanax will not help you if you are depressed and can have extremely adverse side effects along with a high potential for abuse. I took Xanax for 3 years only taking 1 mg 3 times a day. Not bad right? Third day off the meds I had a seizure and knocked out 8 of my teeth. My doc switched me to klonopin and have not had any problems at all with seizures withdrawl symptoms etc.

Coop, you are fooling yourself if you think Xanax & Klonopin are that much different. Also if anxiety is a form of depression, to say Xanax does not treat depression is not genuine. Plus they both are addictive although it is said Klonopin is easier to discontinue. Unless you have gone through withdrawal I'm not sure your statements have any validity?

If a pill is completely unmarked it is generally OTC. Controlled drugs tend to contain a few letters and number on one or both sides. I have what I thought was an oblong xanax with no markings and it was definitely some sort of OTC antihistamine. So be careful with what you take!
