How many people on Fentanyl patches are able to work and what kind of work do you do?

that would depend on their medication dosage, the lesser the dose, the lesser the sedation effects

yes dosage would be a factor however most of cycle thru 72hr period and anxiety is a side effect so some days i can't get out of bed i'm a lifer 7yrs on two off 7back on but it has saved my life. stopped to have baby with broken neck. she can see mommy walk and smile and play...

I have been on the the patch for 4yrs, currently on 25mg. I started out on or was on 100mg and I don't think I could have worked.I have whinned myself down and just started a job this past monday it was rough the first day, but it has already gotten easier not so tired when I get off work.

Yes, it would depend on the dosage, their pain levels, their medical condition and the type of work.

Fentanly is a generic for Duragesic, it is a very potent narcotic, over 80 times stronger than Morphine, so it can carry some serious side effects including: nausea, drowsiness, sedation, constipation, dizziness and dry mouth.

I am on 37 patches at the moment though have been on 50s and I work full time as a head of team for a charity. It's a really busy job and u can only do it Thanks to effective pain relief. That said, many people with chronic pain conditions have problems with depression, chronic fatigue and anxiety, which thankfully I have avoided. My passion issue relates to chromic lower back pain and I find that keeping active, and getting out and about really helps ease the pain. It can be really hard when walking up in pain to even consider leaving my bed, let alone the house, but it's always worth it in the end!
