No, it will not help with pain or the infection.

This tablet is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 40mgs of Pantoprazole.

The FDA classifies this medication as a proton pump inhibitor that is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach, to treat or prevent conditions, such as heartburn, GERD, ulcers and gastritis.
