I've been taking 30mg of oxyicotin for the last 30days and I've been with a loose bowel and leg pain and not to mention the pain I've been experiencing in my head and neck while taking this new lower dosage! My question is as follows what's missing from the 30mg oxyicotin? I've been very uncomfortable for a month in which seems like 2 months,I'm so upset with my pain management doctor, I thought she had my best interest, however im so wrong!!!

Hello, Dana! How are you?

If your taking a lower dosage, as you mentioned in your post, then you are most likely experiencing withdrawal symptoms and rebound pain. That is completely, normal, if your dose is abruptly lowered. It will take awhile, for things to settle down and for you to feel better.

What dosage were you taking before?

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
