I hope you have better luck there than you would here in Louisiana. Here all the suboxone doctors have gone to cash pay only. Mine costing 250 and that's on the low end! Made calls and some are as much as $450! Anyway, for info purposes only I urge you to try to go with reg suboxone and not subutex. Strips are better than the pills in my opinion. I've been on it for pain management for 9 years! Now That I can't afford it, im having big trouble finding a reg pain management take me because the scripts say for pain/opiate dependency. They had to I found out because otherwise my insurance would not cover them for just pain management. Do you have insurance? If you do, the best way to go is look on suboxone.com and they have a spot to put in where you choose what area & they tell you all the docs that have a license in that area. Not sure if you know this or not, but you have to have a special license to wrote Fir suboxibe. (Hospitals cannot even give it to you) any doctor should/would take you because you would have that reference from the clinic ! Good luck! Please do this asap because I believe this medicine to be a miracle drug myself! I was only ever on 2 8 mg strips for pain. I orig did have an opioid prob though and the first time I ever took it I was like...this stuff should be given out free to every addict in the world! Lol. I was amazed! I learned how it works in rehab and its main job is to fill the receptors that pain pills do...it covers about 3/4 of them, then of course the narcan stops u from taki g anything else. Again I urge you to ask for name brand - its that Much better!
I hope you have insurance or I'm at a loss for what to do!if you have medicaid, your first step would be to call and make sure the medicine is covered. It is super expensive!! Like almost 500 for 60 anx you were taking 90 a month. So you see..that 18 bucks was cheaper than the meds even cost! That's a great clinic! Good luck! Please reply back as I'm interested to see if you were able to keep going etc. Have insurance? Willing to change to suboxone, Etc.....Thanks. Sorry this is so long. This is a very important issue to me so I didn't care that it was so long- I hope you don't. Lmao. Good Luck!!!!
