Hello, Angie! How is your little angel?
There are two possible reasons. The first is that she may be allergic to it. Is there any rash or hives visible?
The other possibility is that it is an opioid and some of them cause itching as a side effect, in some people that take them.
She may need to speak to her doctor about trying a different medication for the pain. It may take a few tries to find one that doesn't cause her such a problem.
The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
