UpdatedI found a large white oblong scored G 12 pill in my son's suitcase. What is it? Is it an antibiotic?

Hello, Susan! How are you?
This tablet is manufactured by Ingenus Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 1,000mgs of Metformin, which is most commonly used to treat diabetes.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, flatulence, and low blood sugar.
Is there anything else I can help with?
