What To Say Doctor Get Prescribed Oxycodone 30mg

I am one of the patients of LF MEDICAL SERVICES. DR. MARJORIE LOUIS-JACQU WAS MY PCP DOCTOR. I TAKE 30mg OF OXYCODONE AND CAN'T FIND A NEW PCP. I'VE BEEN GOING BACK & FORTH TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM FOR A MONTH NOW. CAN U PLEASE HELP ME TO FIND A DOCTOR WHO WILL WRITE MY PRESCRIPTIONS FOR ME? I HAVE TWO HIP REPLACEMENTS, LUPUS, AND JUST WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON 9/4/2016 WITH A BAD BODY & BACK PAIN. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME?

OMG, I feel SO bad for you. I've also been cut completely off my methadone but the Oxycodone they replaced it with just isn't working for me, and I'm on 30 mg of Oxycodone 4 times a day! Unfortunately, I just turned 71 and had been taking eleven 10 mg of methadone with close supervision by my PCP for over 15 years with absolutely no side effects. They cut me down without tapering me which I feel was very negligent on the part of Blue Cross-Blue Shield and/or the guidelines. None of this mess makes sense as every person is different. No one reacts to a medication the same way. It's simply common sense which they 100% left out when they created the new guidelines. What works for me because I've been on strong meds ever since my failed neck surgery would surely knock someone else out, and they don't take any of these issues into consideration when they dictate to my doctor what she can and cannot prescribe for me. I've resorted to having an epidural bloc of my neck but it will be expensive and hard on me as I haven't traveled for years because of my pain. I am praying for you and everyone who has been affected by these "no sense" guidelines. Worse, there is no guarantee if it will work or not.

Sharon, ok I looked up and noticed that you were actually using a Nurse Practioner as a PCP -Marjorie Louis-Jacqu isn't a Dr. But a FNP. I imagine you need to call your insurance company and find a Pain Management to get Opioids. Most PCPs now or any specialists unless they did surgery at that time will NOT prescribe ANYTHING AND even dispensaries aka drug stores such as CVS they will soon only dispense ONE week at a time. Pain Management wants monthly visits and this is now a DEA & Federal thing -they are cracking down that whip and trying to reduce the epidemic on prescription overdoses and deaths. So they are limiting amounts, what drugs you can combine with the opioids-such as are you taking a medication such as Diazepam aka Valium which is a Benzodiazepine or Ambien, Restoril, Lunesta, Belsombra, etc....to help you sleep at night? They WILL make you wean off the other meds even if you have been taking them for decades and have been fine.. I know! And do NOT forget the random U/A's as part of the "opioid agreement" they will make you sign and you will have to give a list of everything you ingest- be honest as they check and they send it into the office and in lab which they will know. Even normal drugs and certain foods can cause a false reading which is why they send it out. Another thing or an idea is to try (but ask first) your pharmacist to make sure there are no interactions and get approval (as well as any specialist) for CBD oil. Make sure it doesn't contain ANY THC- it will not make you high but it will help with any withdrawal addiction to opioids, while you wait to get medication. It helps with pain, inflammation, arthritis, helps with anxiety, and insomnia, you can get it in different forms- pills, sublingual, vape, edibles, just like medical marijuana and also that is another road you can go down. NYS has passed medical marijuana so you could try and get your card for that do a google search for that. It is that simple. Good Luck.
