What Is Trepiline Used For

Hi . I went to the GP..regarding my high blood pressure. And i suffer from insomnia. He suggested i take trepiline. 10mg. Just to manage my sleep it did nothing for me being taking it for 5 days. Pressure is stil high. Dr advised me to monitor my B/P fir 10 days before he starts me on pressure tabs. My ankles are swollen. Pls advise

This medication is used to treat depression and anxiety, it may take 4 to 5 weeks to reach its full effect in your body to see if it is going to help you. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes.

How high is your blood pressure? Do you eat a low salt and low fat diet?

Lack of sleep can contribute to elevated blood pressure, so you may need to get that under control to see if it helps.

Are you on any other medications?
