What Is Suboxone

Does suboxone help with severe pain? I have had several back surgerys and have severe hip pain. I have been on dr perscribed oxycontin and loritab. Seeing a new dr who only perscribes suboxone. Will I continue to have pain being on this medication?

Suboxone is mainly prescribed for opiate withdrawall in the states. I,ve read that other countries use it for pain relief. I,ve been prescribed it for opiate withdrawall but have pretty severe leg pain. It does help me with this pain. Some people say it does nothing for pain, I disagree. May I ask why your going to a suboxone Dr?
