To answer your question.. Trazodone is used as an anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medication.
Trazodone itself is in a class of drugs called serotonin modulators. Apparently it's supposed to work by increasing the amount of serotonin in the brain, in order to help maintain a more balanced state of mind.
