Water Retention In Legs And Water Blisters

I'm type II diabetic and I have been waiting over 10 months to try this product out to lower my morning blood sugar count so I wouldn't have to start shooting insulin. It dropped my morning reading which has been steady at 165 to 115! I take metformin and glipizide but had to quit actos because of a similar problem as I have encountered with the Belviq. My legs retain and swell up with water. I also developed water blisters varying from 1/4" to the size of a quarter. Became uncomfortable and also itched. I quit taking Belviq and the symptoms went away. After a week of being OK I started taking Belviq again and had the same problems. It took about 2 weeks before I started to lose my appetite in the evening. I may try one more time just to make sure it's the Belviq causing the swelling and water blisters because it really does the trick when no other pill is available to help lower the blood sugars. I have been taking furosemide to get the water out of the legs even before taking Belviq but have not had water build up until starting the Belviq.

Hi, Bax! Sorry about the problems that you've been happening.

Fluid retention is actually listed as a possibly severe side effect of Belviq that usually requires someone to discontinue taking it.

Learn more Belviq details here.

Based on your symptoms, it just might not be the right medication for you to take.

There is nothing wrong with using insulin, if you need to in order to lower your blood sugar to safe levels.

Have you discussed it with your doctor?
