Vision Changes From Taking Boniva

I took once monthly Boniva for the first time and now I am having trouble reading. I can't read type that I was able to just days before. It started from the first day I took it. My doctor said to go to eye doctor and she is taking me off of it. Anybody else had this affect their eyesight? I also definately had frequent urination the first 2 nights.

Yes and still do after stopping and seeing eye doctor, getting new lens. I also had a lot of joint pains aches. I just takes Caltrate

New lens, like for glasses? So, it didn't go back to normal even after you started it? That's scary. Thanks for taking time to let me know there is somebody else it has done that to.

Eye problems are known side effects of Boniva, according to FDA reports, and in most cases, they go away, after one stops using it.

The FDA lists other Boniva side effects as possibly including: nausea, headache, dizziness, anemia, rash, back pain, and joint pain.

Unfortunately, in many cases, these types of medications cause more issues than they help, but they are the best we have for now to treat, or prevent osteoporosis.
