my 6yr old son has acute pancreatitis .his doc has prescribed him pantacid 20 .is it ok for him.

Pantocid contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that's used to help reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach.

And yes, that is the dose that FDA has approved for use in children for up to 8 weeks at a time.
