Type 2 Diabetic Query

I work on Computer.
Exercise: Swimming
I am a Type 2 Diabetic since 5 years, I was earlier taking 1 tablet a day of Pioglit MF 15, as this drug is banned. so now I am been prescribed by my doctor physician a tablets Gli-me SR2 containing Glimepiride & Metformin Hydrochloride Sustained Release Tablets.
I want to know, is this the right prescription, and also would like to know the side effects of the same in short run or long run.
Recently I am have a problem of Erectile dysfunction, and not able to perform well, also premature ejaculation, causing lost of interest.
I am very depressed and confused, please Help.

My mother is suffering from diabetics for the past one year.she was in control for the past one year without medicine.but since june her glucose level has gone up like 366,375 even after taking diabetic medicine prescribed by the doctor.Could you please help.
