Tylenol contains Acetaminophen, which is an analgesic, but it really depends on the severity of the toothache. It may help with a relatively mild one, but if it's severe and there's an infection involved, it likely won't help much.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation.
