Codeine is actually a very weak opiate, so it would take 66.67mgs of it to equal each 10mg Hydrocodone. But, you can't double up, without your doctor's permission, due to the Acetaminophen in them. Taking too much of it in any 24 hour period could result in fatal toxicity, liver damage or liver failure.
The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
