Tussigon Itching Side Effects
UpdatedCan a dog develop allergy to tussigon given for trachea collapse? There seems to be itching and scratching which is happening, not related to heat or fleas. Could it be the Med?

It is as easy for dogs to be allergic to something as it is for people….this applies to all other animals, as well.
However, it could also be due to the fact that this contains the narcotic Hydrocodone, it can cause itching as a side effect.
Learn more Hydrocodone details here.
I would suggest contacting your veterinarian about either getting an alternative medication, or something you can use for the itching.
Is there anything else I can help with?
