Hello, CC! How are you?
Yes, all medications have expiration dates, because they tend to lose effectiveness, with time and exposure to the elements that cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture.
For tablets and capsules, if they are in a bottle as dispensed by most pharmacies, it is one year from the date it was filled. However, if they are in the original factory sealed container, then they are usually good for 3 to 4 years.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, increased urination and dehydration.
Is there anything else I can help with?
