Hello, Berni! How are you?
If they are in a bottle as dispensed by your pharmacy, or in something other than the original factory sealed container, they are good for one year from the date of dispensing. Medications tend to degrade with time, once they are exposed to the elements that cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
However, if they are in the original factory sealed bottle, they are usually good for 3 to 4 years.
Is there anything else I can help with?
