Torbulk Laxative
Updatedmy mother is diabetes n she gets constipation can she take LACTITOL MONOHYDRATE that is torbulk.she doesnt want to take it as it is sweet does it lead to diabetes.

From what I've researched, Lactitol can be used to treat chronic constipation. And further digging led me to details implying that Lactitol may actually be beneficial for people with diabetes, since it carries a low glycemic index and hasn't been reported to affect blood glucose/insulin levels.
The only contraindication I found is for those patients who are hypersensitive to Lactitol or any of the inactive ingredients that might be added to it.
