Too Scared To Take Suboxone

I have been taking two to three 8mg Dilaudid ,iv, for the past 3 years. I am desperately wanting to take suboxone and get off the D. I had done a quarter of a D right before bed then 6 hours later I did a half of a sub strip. I was able to go to work and I was fine. I am wanting to do the same thing now and get off of this junk but after I see people that wait I see people that waited 16 hours to take a sub and I still went in to precipitated withdrawals. Did I just have a stroke of luck the first time around or is it possible to have the same results again? I pray to God its possible! Any useful insight is welcome.

Before starting Suboxone, you actually need to be in full withdrawals. Otherwise, as you've noticed from others, it can throw you into severe withdrawals, due to the Naloxone in it.

You really need to find a doctor to get help with this. The dosage of the Suboxone needs to be carefully calculated based on the amount of the Dilaudid that you were taking regularly and the usage of it needs to be carefully monitored, since it is also a narcotic opiate and can be habit forming itself.
