Hi siri,

Sorry to hear about your situation. Polycystic ovary disease (PCOD) is actually considered to be a common hormonal disorder. However.. from what I've read, the course of treatment is supposed to depend on how severe the symptoms are.

One good thing to note is that apparently losing weight can help reduce some of the symptoms associated with PCOD. So it sounds like exercise is definitely one thing that help keep that in check, as it naturally helps maintain your hormonal balance.

Some doctors might also recommend that you try certain drugs like clomifene; which are commonly used for treating infertility. Other articles I came across suggest using diathermy (a type of heat therapy) indicated for combating cysts. And lastly, various anti-diabetic drugs are sometimes prescribed to treat any insulin resistance you might have in your body. They say a combination of these treatments may be enough to restore ovulation and even regulate your periods.

None-the-less I would still encourage you to go see your doctor or gynecologist and also get their opinion on what might be most appropriate for you based on your expectations.

Hope this helps!
