Time Limit For Medicaid-united Healthcare-suboxone Coverage (Top voted first)
UpdatedI live in SC and I have United Healthcare (Medicaid). I have been receiving suboxone paid for by them for almost two years, with twice yearly prior authorization's. I would like to know if there is a time limit for how long they will pay for it. Will I be completely cut off at some point from Medicaid?

I'm sorry, I wish I could help you, but I am really not familiar with how it works.
This website provides information on medications and medical conditions, if possible, but isn't affiliated with any insurance companies, doctors, or etc. Thus, there is no access to such information.
The best suggestion I can make is that you call the information line and ask them.
Learn more Suboxone details here.
Have you asked your doctor? They may know the answer, if they've dealt with it for other patients.
Does anyone know more?
Are you on Medicaid or Medicare ? Reason I'm asking is that is all that is listed under United HealthCare Community Plan. This is where I got the info

Come November good look getting the meds covered moreless the office visit. Look under the ARTS program by DMAS they have several links for different areas for providers who take medicaid for office call being mostly just community centers with a lot a restrictions and visit 3 days a week. If your not seeing one of these doctors then insurance will no longer pay for suboxone even with a PA. This will really effect many in a bad way and sadly medicaid gives people no heads up.Good luck to you and everyone
