started tapering off Mirtazapine 4 weeks ago. Crazy dreams have been less, appetite good, felt nausea first 2 weeks like throwing up, the anxiety is a problem..seems I cannot sit still, seems like things are going on fast inside me but the outside world is slow. I feel like I want to run fast to relieve these anxious feeling. Sleep has been ok with some bad nights...concentrating on keeping busy listening to music. Definitely feel like my body is racing. Trying to identify feelings and having difficulty. Crying some and praying hard.....Not sure if I am coming down from this stuff or if this is me. I want to find out which is which. Don't want to take the drug...I know it took 4 weeks for this drug to take effect in me and now that I am at my 4 week taper I am bracing myself for what might come next. I am hoping I can get my inners to stop jumping around so much which cause me to not be able to sit still and possible cause some sleep disturbance. I am in tune to myself much better and going to start exercising more. I feel for all those out there getting off stuff like this.....It's a challenge I never really looked forward to doing but it has to be done. There has to be a better way...want to try a holistic approach. Please say a prayer for me as I know with the grace of God I WILL get off this med.

When you're coming off of a medication such as this, even with a slow taper, you really end up dealing with 2 different issues, the first is withdrawal since your body is used to it and the second is a rebound effect, which can cause symptoms that are worse than what you started taking it to treat.

Learn more Mirtazapine details here.

So, you really will need to give it a bit of time, once you're fully off of it, to see what's actually you and what isn't. It can be a very trying and frustrating process, but I do wish you the best of luck.
