I have been using loratab 10s about 1.5 a day for severe tooth pain for about a year now I seem to be stuck on them. Now I use just to get thru my day. I have read so much about tapering but I have no insurance nor alot of money to afford more and more.. I want off of the pills tho and don't know how to do it safely. I tried cold turkey and I can make it thru day one but day two is too much to handle. I need help badly before it gets any worse. Does anyone have any advice?? Some have told me to go to the ER when I'm withdrawaling and they can help but I want to do it at home not another way. What's the best way I can kick this?

Hello, Sueme! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.

However, what you really need to do is get the dental issues taken care of, first. Regardless of what else you do, if you just let them keep getting worse, you're going to be experiencing more and more pain.

I understand about not having insurance and a limited income, that does make it tough, but many areas now have free or low-cost dental clinics to help people just like you.

And I am going to be completely honest here, the longer you let dental problems go, the more dangerous it gets and you could be putting your life in danger. Dental infections have been directly tied to heart disease and heart valve infections, both of which could be fatal and, even if they aren't fatal, the health issues you'll experience from them will be far, far worse and much more expensive that spending some money to see a dentist.

Is there anything else I can help with?
