Taking Codeine Phosphate To Help Come Off Subutex

Hi, I was prescribed 180mg of codeine phosphate for on-going back pain, BUT I decided to give subutex a go, as advised by a friend. However since taking subutex for just 7 weeks @ 10mg I absolutely hate them. I'm depressed & my anxiety has got worse :( Could going back on codeine help with stopping the awful subutex? Also, the codeine did help my pain, subs don't! Any advice would be gratefully received... Thanks in advance

No, you need to be in full withdrawal, before you can take the Codeine, again. The Subutex tends to take a stronger hold on your opiate receptors and prevents others from having any affect.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
