Hi, Nikki! Very sorry that you're suffering menstrual cramps, I've experienced it myself and I know how horrible they are and how miserable they can make you.

As to this medication, the Dicycloverine and Paracetamol in it may help some, but Simethicone and Dimethicone are unnecessary and aren't going to do anything.

Usually, they are best helped by taking a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, such as Ibuprofen or Naproxen.

But none of these will actually 'cure' the problem.

The only way to do that is to discover what's causing it and, unfortunately, most doctors just act like it's normal for them to happen and they don't do any testing to get to the root of the problem.

However, PMS symptoms and menstrual cramping usually has several root causes, all of which might be easily fixed, such as a deficiency in magnesium and vitamin D. Both of those are required for the normal functioning of your body, your muscles and to help your body properly balance your hormone levels. For instance, if you're low in Vitamin D, your body is unable to properly use the hormone Progesterone, which is the calming hormone that helps prevent uterine cramping….and Vitamin D needs magnesium to work properly, so if you don't have enough of it, you'll suffer odd side effects from taking the Vitamin D, such as irritability, nausea, headache and others.

Depending on your age, another cause could be due to anovulatory cycles causing a deficiency in Progesterone and a solution could be as simple as supplementing it back with natural progesterone.

Have you consulted a doctor to see if they can help you?
