Suboxone Withdrawal 14 Years Of Addiction
(Newest replies first)

I Have been taking some form of opiates since I was 15. Im 29 years old now. I started with vicodin then graduated to percs. Soon after that I was 18 and taking oxicodin. When the oxies just weren't enough anymore I began to take H. I took H for about 2 years on and off and then was told through a friend about subxone. After 7 years being on subxone I finally realized, I had a major problem. My problem was me. I needed off the subxone so bad. I had already been to treatment 3 times in my life. Once for the vicodine ,once for the oxycodone once and for the H. I haven't gone back to any of those since. Once at treatment for the 4th time I felt ashamed to be there. But all I knew is I was done and didn't want to ever go back to any mind or mood altering substance ever again. On day six I left treatment something Ive never done before. Each of the 3 prior times I went, I completed and was proud of myself for doing so. But, I always had reservations of things I could still do, suboxone and marijuana were two of them. I ended up going back to the doctors to get on suboxone again. After day six the real withdrawal set in and I didnt want to feel those symptoms. The skin crawling, cold sweats, dihaerria and always being sick to my stomach. I got on suboxone for another week. I only took .25mgs for the first three days, then dropped it to .13 mgs for four days. I have been clean now for 2 days and oh my God that was the easiest withdrawal I have ever had. Oh and I forgot I have also been taking this product called withdrawal ease. It has truly been my savior I have never had withdrawals go so easily. My one problem is, my energy level is way down i have been taking calcium magnesium and vitamin Bs and drinking lots of orange juice. Any other suggestions what I can do to get my energy back?

Re: TODoubleD (# 3)
There are 2mg ones so that would be easy to do with those
TODoubleD, it's a shame you weren't able to catch Mandy's posts earlier, as I see her post is from February of 2015, scarily enough already a year and a half ago, unfortunately. I do not read these threads as much as I used to when I first signed up for the forums roughly 5 years ago. I am glad I was able to experience at least a little bit of the sanity that was still left when I initially joined. Now I see more and more posts like Mandy's, and they are damaging to anybody coming to these forums and genuinely needing and looking for answers, because they are likely to read a ridiculous garbage post like Mandy's a just keep on going with their oxycontin addiction, instead of finding a suboxone certified physician in their local area and getting to a better place in life. It used to make me so mad I would go off and say all kinds of mean and angry things, but then I realized it was a waste of precious energy. These forums are public and anybody with email and a computer is welcome to set up an account and in mere seconds be spouting off at the mouth, regardless of the fact they could very well be sealing somebody else's fate.
I was wondering about the mg mentioned myself. But I don't see that as a reason to be nasty and accusatory. I hope you have been shown more patience and understanding in your life then you show towards others online . Best of luck and God bless.
1st of all, .25mg and .13mg of suboxone DOES NOT EXSIST. The highest dose made is 16mg which I've never even seen, cause everyone I know that takes them, including myself, is on 8mg. So .25mg would be pretty hard to take, unless you mean 25%, or a quarter, of an 8mg tab or film. Also, idk why your saying suboxone is "mood altering"... if anything it gives you a small boost of energy. So in my opinion, you have NO IDEA WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT and probably made everything you said, up.
Yes it has truly not been easy. I am trying so hard to remain calm and know that it will pass. Each day gets a little easier
Hello, Mandy! How are you feeling? Kudos to you for realizing that you needed to get help and get clean! Way to go!!!
As to your energy, it will likely just take time. The supplements you mentioned may help, as well as a good multivitamin if your doctor approves of you taking it, but there's really nothing else that will speed the process.
Please be aware that cravings may return, since you stopped the Suboxone, so you should be ready to deal with them, just in case.
The FDA classifies Suboxone as being a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Are there any questions or concerns?
