Suboxone Needed For Short Term Indianapolis

I live in Indy and an wondering if there is a doctor that would prescribe suboxone for short term use? Like a prescription for a couple weeks. They have no insurance. They have tried suboxone before and just need to kick a small habit but the mental part gets him. Is this even possible without going through classes post treatment etc., short and sweet that what they want. They are very knowledgable in everything out there. Please help! Any suggestions would be so appreciated!

Like 7-10 8 mg strips would be perfect.

Their is no such thing as short and sweet when it comes to addiction. I highly doubt you will find any doc who will prescribe for 2 weeks with no follow up or Therapy. "They are very knowledgable in everything out there." If this is so why are they still having trouble with drugs?

What do you mean if they are knowledgable why are they still having trouble with drugs? Have you ever been addicted to anything. Sorry but it takes awhile to get your mind right and some people would rather take a drug rather than have to announce to people they do nog know. They would rather keep taking than be embarrassed by therapy sessions etc

Plus the haunting of going through a rehab and treatment facility always on your medical record and for any doctor to see anytime is not appealing to them. They are in a very high profile job and simply can't do that. So if you don't have anything positive to say and just post negative condescending comments will you please just leave this thread alone? Thanks!

There are strict laws governing the use of Suboxone for addiction treatment, so no. The counseling and etc. is required.

Doctors that treat with it have to undergo special training to obtain their waiver to prescribe it and they face severe sanctions if they don't abide by the guidelines set forth.

I'm sorry, I wish I had better news for you.

If the mental issue is their biggest problem to overcome, then they may do better with just some counseling sessions. Have they looked into that?
