Suboxone Dr Made A Mistake And Prescribed 20mg First Day

I have never used suboxone, so had no idea 20mg was too much.Ended up so dizzy and stumbling around with vibrations in my ears and head.What the hell was he thinking?So tired and dizzy the next day so i went back to his clinic and saw the other Dr. there, she immediately sent me to the emerg.I have now been prescribed 2mg a day and wondering why i feel crappy still.Am i going through perc withdrawals or Sub withdrawals.

That's not necessarily a mistake, they have to gauge your dose based on what drug you were abusing, how much of it you were abusing and how long you were abusing it, which means there is still a large margin for error, because there's no way they can guess how any individual will actually react to the Suboxone. Sometimes, they get it right and sometimes they don't.

Given what you've described about how you feel currently, it is possible that you are now on too low of a dose and may need another adjustment.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can anyone that's on Suboxone chime in with some advice or ideas?

Oh my gosh.Quack .I just read that u are Taken suboxone and still having withdrawals from perc . All I can say is ...totally come of the perc's 72 hour withdrawals maybe less..then u start with your Suboxone. I am on my 4th week on Suboxone and I call it the Miracle Med. I am Chronic Pain Patient. .I've been on every pain med possible for 6 years and had no life at all..NONE wat so ever..and now after 6 darn years I now have a life...it's incredible to be able to just get up in morning and just GO! and make a coffee, open my curtains and look at the beautiful world we have...I have a life now and I am having problems believing that I do have one, I find myself stopping at what ever I'm doing numerous times a day even in the evening. Even my son had noticed a huge difference.I find it hard to explain how amazing Suboxone is helping me! I'M NOT IN BED WITH PAIN...And I am actually doing stuff I haven't done in years...THANK YOU SUBOXONE from DODO and a big Hug
