I am on 3 suboxones a day the highest dose. 1 mg of klonopin 3 times a day and 100 mg of lamictal twice a day. Is this safe? And what are the side affects. I find I am lathargic, high, extremely tired and get the nods and slurred speech. I feel high as a kite and fall asleep very easy but don't want to end up im a coma. Is this normal? I also have trouble keeping my eyes open and focusing it's almost like I am high as a kite but not a good high. Please help.

Hello, Marcus! How are you dong? I'm sorry about the problem you're having.

The FDA lists Suboxone as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, the highest dose of it daily could be too much for you.

Some people do need to start that high, but then often it must be lowered, after a period of time.

Have you consulted your doctor?

There's also a chance that it could be the Klonpin, which is a benzodiazepine, it also carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

The combination of the two could also be causing. You may need to adjust one or both of them.
