Suboxone And Future Pain

I,ve started to taper off sub. and plan to be off it in a couple of months. I pay for sub. dr. visits because he doesn,t take my insurance. I do use my insurance at drug store for the filmstrips. I read someplace that if your useing your insurance to pay for the prescription that this will pop up red flags in the future when you need pain medication for a legimate reason. I am on subs. because of oxy abuse. I,ll be needing to have my knee replaced sometime in the future, I,m trying to put it off for a couple of years and I don,t want to be prescribed suboxone when I have surgery done. Every time I go to a DR. are they gonna look at there computer and see I,ve been on subs. for abuse? I go to a private sub.DR. not my regular one.

Red flags pop up, when you are doing such things as getting multiple narcotic prescriptions filled at once.

The fact that you were treated for addiction will be in your medical records, but if you are only getting a legitimate prescription filled, you shouldn't have a problem.
