Hi Gene,

Based on my research, the Social Security Administration (SSA) webpage for some reason, does not actually list any of the types of services or disability that it supposedly covers. Basic information about the program can be found in the following pdf document. But I have yet to find specific details on coverage: ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10029.pdf

However, from the looks of things, it seems like your best bet at this point would be to either contact the SSA directly regarding their coverage, or to discuss any type of disability information with your doctor. Reason being is that every doctor may have different policies pertaining to disability, whereas certain doctors are either willing or not willing to accept government assistance programs (such as medicaid), since they seem to get paid more through one's own private insurance company.

I hope this info helps! Does anyone else happen to have personal experience using Ohio's Disability SSD?
