Starting Suboxone While On Butrans?
UpdatedI've been off norco and oxy for about 5 days now but I've been using a butrans patch to help with withdrawals. I have my first appt. with a suboxone doctor tomorrow. Can I start suboxone while on butrans since it's the same medicine? It doesn't make sense that I'd need to be withdrawing from the butrans first?

Withdrawing from it should not be necessary, but it is up to your doctor.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
Are you on any other medications?
