St Louis Xanax
Updated1 Reply
Hello, Moemoe! How are you?
If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist, a general practice physician won't be able to prescribe it for you, due to the new regulations set forth by the DEA last year.
The FDA lists Xanax as being a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
Thus, you'll need to see a psychiatrist.
Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.
Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
