In the U.S., Spiriva is only available by prescription from your doctor. It is a bronchodilator that is used to treat conditions, such as COPD, bronchitis and emphysema. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including dry mouth, blurred vision, elevated heart rate and chest pain.
