Mylan is not the name of a medication, it is the name of a manufacturer that makes prescription medications.

The name brand for the medication containing Spironolactone and Hydrochlorothiazide is Aldactazide and it is actually manufactured by G.D. Searle LLC.

It combines two different types of medications to help remove fluid from the body to treat conditions such as high blood pressure, edema and congestive heart failure.

Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dehydration.

The tablet manufactured by Mylan that is a generic for this medication is round, beige and has an M over 41, separated by a score line on on side.
