I have been taking Prednison prescribed by my doctor for Gout.4 tablets ever day for 7days 20mg thats 80 mg a day. can that cause your blood suger to go up to 500? started lowering my dose to ween me of the Prednison slowly

May I ask how did you learn of the BS of 500 ? Was it yoUR value? Was it taken because of your doctor's order? That is a very high value and should be treated/monitored carefully!!!! If that was YOUR sugar level, be sure to talk with your doctor as soon as possible!
