Side Effects Of Regestrone

I am 42 years old. last time when i didn't have my periods for more than two months I consulted a doctor and he suggested registrone tablets and it worked. Now again I have got the same problem and she suggested the same thing. But recently I heard that this medicine may cause breast cancer and some other complications. I request for your valuable advice in this matter.

I am 40 years old. I didn't have my periods for more than 12 days. I have checked with Preg Colour, But it is negative. I consulted a doctor and he suggested registrone tablets for ten days . Already I have taken 6 tablets. Till date the period has not done. How long I can take? How long I have to wait? If it not start, then what will be my next step?
