Side Effects Of Amlodipine

I have been taking amlodipine for about 3 months. I started on 5 mg then 10 mg. Now back to 5 because of swelling of the ankles. I also have stiffness in the muscles and frequent urination at night which the doctor doesn't think it's the pills, although it started at the same time. Would taking them at night instead of morning help?

Yes, those can be side effects of this medication, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness and dry cough.

However, since it's still continuing this far into taking it, that likely means that these symptoms will not improve and you may need to switch medications.
