Side Effect Of My Lisinopril-hctz/ Severe Inner Thigh Cramps

This has happened a few times over a month during my sleep. Tonite at a theater after sitting two hours. Extremely painful for 20 minutes.

HCTZ stands for Hydrochlorothiazide, which the FDA classifies as a diuretic, so it removes fluid from the body to help treat high blood pressure.

So, there are two possible explanations, since the removal of fluid also causes potassium loss, you may be deficient in potassium; or you may be dehydrated if you're not taking in enough fluid to make up for the amount it is removing.

Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and stomach pain.
