Side Affects Of Stopping Incivik ??? Withdrawel Affects ?

I was on Incivik, Pegysis and Riboviran for 9 weeks, unfortunately my dr. took me off as I have a gene that resists the antivirus..and I failed this treatment. However, I was fine for the 9 weeks, I am only 134 lbs and gained only about 1 lb. through the 9 weeks even eating all that fat 3 x a day. But the dr. said I was strong willed that is why I did not get real bad side affects like fatique and itchy skin and a light rash. When the dr. took me off the drugs I got withdrawel affects so bad, tight legs, swollen legs, fast breathing, bad rash under my skin on legs, headache, pulling muscles, muscle aches, restless legs, insomia,dry and itchy scalp and hair loss it was terrible. Is anyone out there that had any problems like this ???? It would be nice to know I am not alone...but don't wish this feeling on anyone. I hope all who are on treatment...that it works for you. I can only wait for the next cure to come available. Is anyone out there I can relate ??? thank you

It isn't common to have withdrawal effects like that, after such a short time use of them, but it is possible and has happened to some people. The percentage, however, is very small.

yes...I am doing much better. getting stronger every day. strange..but I am in the small percent of feeling this affect. Maybe if I had stayed on the Incivik and the rest of the medictions it would be my time to feel these side affects. Or maybe I just gave in to the medicine when I found it was not working . But it was an awful feeling. lasted about a week and a half.

Hello, yes I had the same type of symptoms after finishing the Incivek, it turned out that some of my regular medications and Incivek were not compatible and no one had documented it before I started the Incivek. So I went through 2 weeks of hell while my body adjusted to what the Incivek had done to my medications. You are not alone it was just not documented in the paperwork given out until recently

Hi Dee...what other meds were you on...I told the doc I was on Vicodan for knee surgery, and lorazopam for anxiety. That is all I was taking while on the incivik, pegasys and interfuron. Did the meds work for your hep c ? I have a gene that rejects the anibody...but back to meds...were you on incivik long ? I was on 9 weeks.
